EL DISCURSO DEL INGENIERO EN EL SIGLO XIX

On 30 January, the book El discurso del ingeniero en el siglo XIX. Aportaciones a la historia de las obras públicas, authored by Dr Inmaculada Aguilar Civera, full professor at the University of Valencia, was presented at the Fundación Juanelo Turriano headquarters. Published by the foundation in conjunction with the Regional Government of Valencia, the book reviews nineteenth century engineers’ attitudes toward the history of their discipline, particularly when undertaking interventions in monumental or historic public works.

In addition to the author, the panel that presented the book included Polytechnic University of Madrid emeritus professor Pedro Navascués Palacio, and Dr. Enginneer and historian Fernando Sáenz Ridruejo.
