Presentation of the book entitled Una mirada ilustrada. Las vistas de puertos de Mariano Sánchez [An enlightened gaze, Spanish ports by Mariano Sánchez]
Fundación Juanelo Turriano will present the book entitled Una mirada ilustrada. Las vistas de puertos de Mariano Sánchez [An enlightened gaze, Spanish ports by Mariano Sánchez] on 26 January at 7:30 PM at the Prado National Museum Auditorium. The speakers will include Miguel Zugaza, Prado National Museum Director, Victoriano Muñoz Cava, Fundación Juanelo Turriano President, Pedro Navascués Palacio, representing the San Fernando Royal Academy, and Bernardo Revuelta Pol, Fundación Juanelo Turriano Director.

Fundación Lázaro Galdiano has published an article in its blog on the reproduction of the Juanelo Turriano medal, two series of 25 each, recently cast by Fundación Juanelo Turriano based on the copy custodied by the Lázaro Galdiano Museum.

Agustín de Betancourt International Infrastructure Awards.  First edition
The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineers, through the Fundación Caminos, has announced the first edition of the Agustín de Betancourt International Infrastructure Awards, which aim to enhance awareness of the importance of public works for the development and modernisation of the countries and societies for which they are built.
Infrastructures completed between 1 January 2012 and 31 December 2014 are eligible to compete in the first edition of these biennial awards. The deadline for submitting works for consideration is 15 February 2015.

A workshop on the History of Machine and Mechanism Science (MMS) will be held at St Petersburg under the sponsorship of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science.
This workshop will focus primarily on the history of science, machines and mechanisms in Europe, and more specifically in Russia.
