Los Ingenios y Máquinas. Ingeniería y Obras Públicas en la época de Felipe II [Devices and machines, engineering and public works in times of King Philip II]. Video

Fundación Juanelo Turriano has produced a video on the exhibition Devices and machines, engineering and public works in times of King Philip II.

This travelling exhibition, organised in conjunction with the Centre for Public Works Studies and Experimentation-Centre for Historic Studies on Public Works and Urban Planning, was last shown at Segovia’s Royal Mint Museum in 2016.

Thirteenth International Roadway Congress

The Thirteenth International Roadway Congress was held on 22-24 November at Madrid’s School of Civil Engineering.

Organised by the Asociación Internacional de Caminería with the support of Fundación Juanelo Turriano, among other institutions, it attracted practising historians, philologists, geographers and engineers as well as researchers.

The photographic and documentary exhibition entitled Zamora’s future. The first hydroelectric dam on the River Duoro will be open to the public at the Technical University of Madrid’s School of Civil Engineering through 16 December.

Visiting hours are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday and from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays.

The exhibition entitled History of mining and industrial facilities at Fabero open to the public from 19 November at the former ‘Pozo Julia’ [Julia pit], summarises the history of the town’s mining from the early twentieth century to date.

The exhibition will run through 13 December.
