An exhibition organised by Coacyle (Chartered Institute of Architects of Eastern Castile and Leon) on the company Fabricación Española de Fibras Artificiales S.A., entitled Industrial spaces and urban memory, Miranda de Ebro opened to the public on 1 December at the Miranda de Ebro Community Centre in the Spanish province of Burgos.

Bernardo Revuelta Pol, Fundación Juanelo Turriano Director, was one of the participants in a round table held on the occasion.

The exhibition will be open to visitors, cost-free, through 30 December.

The Madrid Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineers held its annual awards ceremony on 30 November. José Calavera Ruiz, Honorary President of Intemac, was distinguished as the Outstanding Civil Engineer award for his many professional achievements throughout his career.

José Calavera Ruiz is a Fundación Juanelo Turriano trustee.

Fundación Juanelo Turriano members participated in a guided tour of the Hoyo de Manzanares Academy of Engineering on 4 December.

The academy lent a number of models from its collection for the exhibition Historic mock-ups and scale models. Engineering and construction held from 7 June to 17 September 2017.

The foundation thanks its management for the visit to the Flag Hall, the Museum, the Soils and Concrete Laboratories and the International Demining Centre.

The exhibition Oceans of wings, 1917-2017. Centenary of Spanish naval aviation opened its doors on 5 December at Madrid’s Naval Museum.

The showing, which can be visited through 30 June 2018, provides an overview of the history of Spain’s naval aviation.
