Descubrir el Arte

The journal Descubrir el Arte has devoted a large part of its issue 289 to Pedro Navascués, a champion of nineteenth-century architecture.

Academics, teachers, colleagues and students have contributed articles on the facets of Pedro Navascués as teacher, scholar, researcher and tireless defender of the architectural heritage.

Pedro Navascués Palacios was president of the Foundation.

Gavarró-Blázquez Collection

The first two galleries of pictures of washerwomen of the world and washerwomen of the Iberian Peninsula, from the Gavarró-Blázquez image collection, are now available on the Fundación Juanelo Turriano Flickr account. Their common theme is water and the hydraulic heritage.

The collection, which is of interest both historically and as a heritage record, contains images from the Rómul Gavarró Museum of Water’s graphics collection plus several hundred postcards belonging to Carlos Blázquez, who has entrusted our foundation with sharing them.

Carlos Blázquez is a member of the Foundation’s Advisory Commission.
