OPENING OF THE PERAL ROOM AT CARTAGENA NAVAL MUSEUM

On Thursday 11 September, His Royal Highness the Prince of Asturias presided the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the room at the Cartagena Naval Museum that houses the Peral submarine. The recently restored submarine can now be admired as originally built in what was once the boiler room at Cartagena Dockyard. The showing includes an exhibition on the life and works of Isaac Peral, the author of the design for the vessel, organised to commemorate the 125th anniversary of its launch.
