The third edition of the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering’s Reconstruction and Restoration of Architectural Heritage congress is underway online (24 to 27 March).

A mini-symposium entitled Construction history, an emerging discipline. A Russian-Spanish encounter was held on 24 March.

Fundación Juanelo Turriano is one of the organisations sponsoring the congress.

Registration is now open for guided tours of the exhibition Ingenuity at the service of power, on display at the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts through 16 May.
Tours are available from Tuesday through Sunday.

The Madrid Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineers has distinguished Francisco Javier León González with its Outstanding Engineer Award.

Mr León, who has devoted his career to design, teaching and research, is a member of Fundación Juanelo Turriano’s Advisory Commission.

The video recording of the debate on the new Alcántara Bridge held under the auspices of the Instituto de Ingeniería de España [Spanish Engineering Institute] is now available on YouTube.

Daniel Crespo Delgado, professor at Madrid’s Complutense University and Fundación Juanelo Turriano researcher, was one of the speakers.
